Environmental Mitigation and Sustainability on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project
The Gordie Howe International Bridge project is one of the largest infrastructure projects underway along the Canada-US border. Join Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority representatives to learn more about the extensive environmental considerations integrated into the design and construction approach, along with exploring key sustainability practices and standards.

Speakers
Sarah Lanoue is an environmental intern with Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA). She is currently in her final year of a HBSc in Chemistry and Honours Certificate of Environmental Engineering at the University of Windsor. She plans to pursue her MSc in Chemistry and become a professionally licensed engineer in Ontario. Sarah has been working with WDBA in environmental compliance since May 2021.

Alexa Sylvestre is an Environmental Coordinator with WDBA. She is a University of Guelph graduate with a BSc Env in Environmental Science, along with completing a graduate certificate in Sustainable Business Management at Conestoga College. Alexa has been working in the heavy civil construction industry with a focus on environmental management for five years.
